Veterinarian
Dr. Dakota Mitchell was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas, approximately 10 blocks from the city center. She attended Amarillo College, where she received her Associate's Degree in Biology, and West Texas A&M University, where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science with a Pre-Vet Specialization. She went on to complete Texas A&M's VERO program and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 2026.
Her professional interests include surgery, endocrinology, and exotic animal medicine.
Her favorite pastimes include reading, traveling, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. She has a giant family spread all over the state of Texas and loves to visit them whenever she can, including two brothers, a sister, and a gaggle of nieces and nephews. Dr. Mitchell also has two rescue cats: Rosie, her one-eyed princess, and Denver, who has approximately one brain cell to his name.
